Derek,
Vandoren, Mitchel Lurie, and some other makes of crystal mouthpieces are all
made from the
same Pomarico blanks. The mouthpiece sold by JC Products is also from a
Pomarico blank.
The difference is the facings. I tried them all and the only mouthpiece I
felt confortable with is
the JC. They are available in 3 very comfortable openings - close, med.,
and med. open. JC
will also do special facings.
O'brien makes a glass mouthpiece. I think that Pomarico(crystal) and
O'brien(glass) are the
only blanks of this type available.
