I am in need of a set-up for Bb clarinet( 1928 Buffet) that will allow

I have found the Selmer C85 series to have great projection. It is a
much more open mouthpiece, especially the 120 facing. It also provides
great flexibility, good for jazz playing, and is compatible with a large
variety of reeds. (I have posted lots of good stuff on these mouthpieces
before, and in case anyone is wondering I am NOT paid by Selmer!)
I have used this set-up, with a Rovner ligature, in many large orchestra
situations. My projection has always been good, even at softer dynamic
levels, with little effort. For instance, I was able to play the 2nd
movement solo sections in the Rachmaninoff 2nd piano concerto, at the
dynamic levels written, in a large orchestra in an outdoor concert hall
in southern France, with absolutely no projection problems at all. I
also play Buffets, both manufactured in 1972 and 1973.
