Bill,
Maybe this will help. Whenever I study a new piece of music, whether it be
an etude, major work, or orchestra or band part, I write in breathing marks
in the
spots that I feel is the end of a phrase or where they make the most musical
sense.
Sometimes I just forget to breath at a convenient spot and run out of air in
the
wrong place. Its not as important how often you breath as long as it is not
in
a bad place.
