A couple of people suggested Weber Concerto #1. I would almost
consider that piece too advanced to fit the "intermediate/advanced"
category, given it's technical challenges. A piece which would
meet the description more closely would probably be Weber's
Concertino, which is through-composed and neither as long nor as
technically difficult. It still demands a great deal of finesse
and phrasing conception.
