When I had trouble with that part, I found that a significant chunk of my
problem was making my fingers go cleanly from the previous note (F) to
the Bb. I cured that part of the problem by taking the trusty old
metronome and just working the F to Bb transition (gradually bringing
that up to speed), then adding the D (so I was playing the D - F - Bb)
and repeating the process. I kept adding the preceding notes as I
became comfortable with it. That technique (aided by a lot of long
tones, I'm sure!) also seemed to help with other mental & physical
hurdles of the Bb.
