In short, yes. The corners of the mouth are more relaxed on the sax even
compared to bass clarinet. There seems to be a lot more variation available
in the mouthpieces available for sax, so you might want to start by finding
a piece that produces the sound that you want on your sax. You might want
to start on a Selmer C* to keep it something like a clarinet piece and work
your way from there, but there is no guarantee that any particular
combination will work for you.
