I could use some advice on reeds. I have always used vandoren 4 or
v12 4 and have always loved them. For several months now I have been
very unsatisfied with them. I believe that there is not much of a heart
in them any more and as a result there is a slight buzz in the sound.
This sound occurs with both of my mouthpieces, Borbeck and pyne and on
both of my clarinets, Selmer and Buffet.
I have always had a very nice clear dark sound, and am very
frustrated with the sound that I have been producing lately, even though
I practice on a regular basis.
I have recently ordered some Moree' reeds and cant wait to try
them. My question is, what other reeds should I try and has any one
else had the same problem with vandoren reeds in recent months?
