I cannot get through to clarinet info pages. Has the address changed?

Deborah Shaw

Well deborah: I read an article about it:
The current machine which is sneezy.mika.com, a
DECStation 5000/200 with 2 1/2 Gb of disk and 64 Mb of
memory, is being upgraded to a DEC 5000/600 (Alpha)
with 128 Mb of memory and 4 Gb of disk. The name will
remain the same; however, you may experience outages
over the next week or so as I put the new machine
on and off line for testing (the old sneezy will remain
the primary machine until I'm satisfied that the new one
has all the bits and pieces installed correctly). The
new machine was my old work machine; I'm getting a
(better/newer/faster) machine for work, and I just can't
stand idle CPUs.

The new machine is about 20 times faster than the old
one, so database queries should run significantly better ;^)

Maybe this explains something.
