You might take a look at Philip Farkas's "The Art of Musicianship." This
monograph may or may not be out of print; if out of print it is certainly
available in libraries. If your library does not have it, it is of course
available via interlibrary loan (I know my library has it). I earn my
living in the field of library automation and have easy access to an
electronic copy of the current edition of Books in Print. I would be happy
to check and see if this item is still available for purchase. In any
event, I recommend it to you.
