Dear all,

I will second Stan Geidel's comments:
I have used the Grand Concert Thick Blank for the past 2 years ever since I
tried them in Belgium. I am very impressed with them. I try the V-12's from
time to time, and still go back to the Grand Concert's

It was the first time for me to hear something about "Grand Concert's thick
blank reeds..I've never heard about them, and I really would like to hear
more about them..., I mean, where can I buy them, wich factory makes them,
what types do they have (numbers etc.) and what do they (aprox.) cost. I do
not know if they are available in Europe, but I intend to visit The
Frankfurter Messe, maybe I can "find" them there...

It may sounds peculiar, but I play (for two weeks now) Elite clarinets
(Buffet Crampon) with a Vandoren B40 mp (sometimes B45 lyra, I'm not
certain yet) and Vandoren (normal reeds) #3 and/or V12 #2.5 Why did I say
peculiar: we - here in Europe - tend to play on much softer reeds than you
guys!! But, indeed, it seems that the Vandoren reeds are more and more
softer (due to bad material).
It worked alright for me, the transition from Wurlitzer (ref. Boehm) to
French "horns". But: in case of whatever: the Wurlitzers are still in my
neighberhood :-), I mean: I didn't sell them yet...

OK,
al the best,
