Here are several reasons why I would not want an articulated G# key.

1) Some of my favorite altisimo fingerings don't work (i.e. the "long" F, etc.)

2) Forget about many of the multiphonics fingerings

3) As mentioned by someone else, the springing mechanism required is prone
to failure (as on my Selmer bass clarinet which requires constant attention
to retain smooth and secure operation.) Even at its best, it seems to
respond a bit more slowly than a standard G# key
