Hello..

I'm hoping someone can supply some information on an old instrument a
student found in a pawn shop.

It has the standard oval "Buffet..a Paris" insignia on all parts. Below
the insignia is a 5 pointed star. The only number that appears is "55"
in the normal place you'd find a serial number.

And.. the bell is plastic while the rest of the instrument is wood in
very good condition. The plastic bell has the same insignia as the rest.

If anyone knows the vintage and history of this instrument, I'd
appreciate your help.
