Hi Don,
I tried to answer this yesterday, but my mail server was down, I guess.
Anyway, Galaxy Music Corp. also puts out an edition of Ralph Vaughan
Williams' "Six Studies on English Folk Song". Originally written for
'cello, the composer also arranged it for clarinet (I'm pretty certain it
was V.W.). Not to be outdone by a mere composer, the crack editing staff
at Galaxy decided to arrange it for several other instruments, from
English horn to (I believe) TUBA! Perhaps this explains your mysterious
version of the Schubert!
