Hey Jenny!!! If you're going to buy a couple of clarinets, I reccomend
the Buffet R-13. Once you've played one you'll wonder how you ever got
along w/o one. As far as technique books, my clarinet teacher has me
playing out of Paul Jean-Jean's "Vede Mecum". It's a good one!
