Subj: Alternative Passages

I have an allstate audition this upcoming Saturday and the required piece is
Concerto No. 2 by Spohr. I have found the first movement challenging and the
second near impossible, but my actual question deals with the alternative
passages written above some of the most difficult passages. Would I be
marked down for playing these passages? Would it be better to just play it
out and hope that I get it? I've been woodshedding many of these passages
and have figured most of them out, but the alternative passages are much
easier. Also, I can't find a fingering for the high B flat (I know the c and
a, but I don't remember the B flat) so would it be okay if I were to play the
alternative passages in only a few areas??

I would love to hear any suggestions you may have.
