My Schirmer edition of the work has an alternate part for flute or violin to
replace the clarinet. Also, I have a CD (Simax PSC1018) that has a
recording of the work with clarinet VIOLA and piano! The clarinettist is
Hans Petter Bonden. It doesn't sound bad!
