Dipping way back into memory, the one time I saw Fiedman live (I was about
10 at the the time, but had just started playing so wa very attentive to
details about the clarinet) he most certainly had an opaque instrument,
but I do seem to remember he did have a crystal mouthpiece (which looks
very neat to a 10 year old who has just started the instrument).
