I have the third edition, copyright 1963 (they must have gone through the
first two *very* quickly!), with the "right" notes in it. But I've always
wondered where the manuscript is - does anyone know? What did Dobree/King
work from? I also dispute the added dynamics on the 1st mvt recap -
Poulenc left the dynamic all "piano" in the earlier editions, and it
makes more sense to me.

I'm interested in this quite a bit. On what must have been the first
recording, there's a program note that speaks to the issue of the
dedication of the oboe and the clarinet sonatas, and shows them to be
reversed in the published editions. This makes sense to me too. But I
asked this question on the list some time ago, and got zero response.
Anyone know?

So I ask again - where is Poulenc's manuscript?
