My second question is about Eb clarinets. I need a Eb
IL>clarinet, but I don't need a $3000 clarinet. What would be a decent, wooden
IL>Eb for a low price? I have found an Amati Eb for $549, a Ripamonti for
IL>$995, and a Vito for $520 (I think the Vito is plastic)

If you're lucky enough to find a good, used, wood Eb then
that's the best choice, in my opinion. (I found an old Buffet 3 years
ago, for $1000)
But I did once play a plastic VITO that really wasn't too bad. So
if you're on a tight budget, give one of those a try. The one I played
was plastic, but the surface was "brushed" i.e. not shiny. And the horn
is virtually indestructible, environment-wise.

Good luck
