No, seriously; why do you think wooden instruments give a superior sound?
What do you mean with 'superior sound'?
I own a Leblanc-Holton plastic clarinet and a wooden Leblanc Opus; I play with
pleasure on both of them. There are differences, but I don't think the material
is the origin of these. Bore desing and tone hole placement are the determining
factors. (Read the Benade book 'Introduction to musical acoustics')
