Every composer was at one time or another a "minor composer". I think it
is the minor composers that make the music world great. There are those
out there who will say that they love to listen to classical music and
when asked what composers they know of, they will say: Bach, Mozart,
(pause), Beethoven... Those are all the composers that they know and they
will say that they are classical music lovers. If everybody disregarded
the "minor composers", we would have a whole bunch of recordings of the
same stuff. I will bet there is not one of you out there who does not
like or appreciate a lesser known composer.
