The principal clarinet of Pops during the Fiedler years was Pasquale
Cardillo, my primary teacher. He played 2nd clarinet in the Boston
Symphony and 1st clarinet in the Pops. He got into the BSO right out of
New England Conservatory, and was in it for close to 50 years, I believe!
