Dear David, I agree with you on your letter. But more then
"perception" makes diference betwen R13, Prestige and Festival.
R13's have a smaler bore then Festival( American), that is made, in
bore, like RC's(French).
On my "perception"(I use RC's Prestige now, but I used R13 for 10
years), on Festival is easier play lightly and focused, and you can play
with a dark sound easy. On American bore you can play easy if you had a very
good barrel, mouthpiece and reed that "fits" on your R13. I belive, because
I tryed out on Festival, that Festival is more like RC's Prestige.
Now, with my RC Prestige, I can play without "think" a lot to play.
But, like you said, it is a personal preference...
