When I decided to learn the clarinet when I was in 4th grade, I'd
never even SEEN one! I chose it because we'd had a record in the third
grade that featured different instruments, and I loved the sound of the
clarinet! It wasn't until my first lesson that I actually saw a clarinet,
and we spent most of the first lesson just learning how to put it together
and take it apart!
Good luck! It's worth it!
