Klarinet Archive - Posting 000097.txt from 1997/01

I'm getting many replies - thanks. And yes, Rossini was an
error in data entry - I missed filling in one entry in the
database under his name and didn't carefully check the results
that I posted to the list.

Some have mentioned that they want to use this list when it's
available. Well, it's been available for over a month at
http://sneezy.mika.com/clarinet (the infamous sneezy).
About 1500 composers and 3000 works on file at the moment,
searchable by any combinations of words. There's still a lot
to do (I haven't put in all the composer's birth/death years
or the grade levels of most of the works) - hopefully it'll
never be finished ! There's a form there for you to enter
corrections, updates, comments, new entries, etc.

If you only have mail access and would like to be able to submit
queries, please drop a personal e-mail to music@-----.com (that's
just a special "drop-box" so it doesn't get mixed into my "normal"
mail). If there's enough interest I'll build a mail server
front end into the database.
