Dear Ryan,

USC bosts one of the best music schools in the nation. They've long had an
excellent clarinet faculty which has been taught by David Schiffrin and
Mitchell Lurie. Current clarinet faculty include Michelle Zukovsky and David
Hower (both of the L.A. Phil.), and Yehuda Gilad.

World class vituoso musicans to have taught there in the past include Gregor
Piatigorsky and Jasha Heifitz.

At least several years back rumor had it that the music schools which had the
largest number of alumni in major orchestras were Curtis Institute,
Northwestern University, and USC. (not Juilliard & Eastman!)

I don't know if it was true but I do know the music school at USC is flooded
with excellent musicians and teachers. (and no, I didn't go there it's an
objective oppinion.)

Good Luck
