OK, I've been reading my e-mail almost every day, but (between the New
Year holiday and my wedding anniversary on the 3rd) I haven't had much
time to post anything during the past week. Today I'm getting caught up.

Am I the only member of this vast clarinetist mailing list (in the
Washington, DC, area) who saw the article about Fred Jacobowitz and the
Machaya Klezmer Band in the suburban _Journal_ newspaper? I read it in
the _Fairfax (Virginia) Journal_, but I suspect that it was published in
all editions around the Beltway (December 29, 1996, issue).

Mazel Tov, Fred! But why do all the pictures show you playing the alto
sax?
