Jayne-

Clarinet is 1 whole step off of concert pitch. So, if the Guitar plays a
Bb- you would need to play a C on your clarinet (Bb clarinet) in order for
the pitches to sound the same.

So if there is some music that the guitar player has that you would like to
play along with- you need to raise all the pitches 1 whole step so that you
will sound correct with the guitar.
