Subj: college and double-tongue

Hi all,
I am a senior and am applying to colleges now and I was wondering
if Yale has a decent clarinet program, I only ask because it is very well
respected academically and I want to double major. If anybody knows of
any other academic schools with reputable music programs (eg. Johns
Hopkins, USC, etc...)

I consider myself lucky because I can single tongue at approx. 160
bpm. Will double tongue-ing help me to improve this speed at all? I
tried for about a week, but only got up to about 100. I have been told
that it would be useless to learn because I can tongue at a reasonable
tempo already. Is it really worth learning (I know people who swear by
it.)
