There WAS supposed to be some content in there, with H-M getting
exclusive
rights to re-publish. Anyway, I can easily garner much better mailing
lists
by simply asking listservs to give me their recipient addresses. Gee, if
I
were selling musical equipment and supplies, I'd probably get the email
addresses from Klarinet, the flute, sax, trumpet, oboe, horn, bassoon,
violin,
viola, etc. mailing lists (doable WITHOUT being a member), sort 'em up,
and do a mass mailing. Seems to me it's already been done, too, and a
targeted audience to boot. 50,000 valid e-mail addresses is a cinch - I
can generate a MUCH larger list if I so desire by performing a valid
query
on Alta Vista or eXcite - without having to page through all the
results.
It's not rocket science; you just have to read the instructions and
possibly
understand computerese.
