>From what I know, the proper adhesive for pads is a lacquer, which is
positioned between the key and the pad, heated (with something like a butane
lighter), and then held until set (then you allow it to dry). Admittedly, I
have never attempted to replace the pads on my clarinet; I leave that to
the trusted professionals at my local music store (whom I know and trust
with my clarinet.) However, I may be lacking in knowledge, so don't go
solely on my advice!
