Klarinet Archive - Posting 000468.txt from 1996/12
From: ALLISON NELSON <nelsona@-----.net> Subj: Vermont trip Date: Wed, 18 Dec 1996 00:51:33 -0500
I will be attending some courses in Montpelier / Burlington, Vermont area
arriving in Montpelier Saturday Jan 4th & leaving the following Friday the
10th. The course gets out at 4 pm everyday, so aside from eating out in
some of the very nice restaurants staffed by New England Culinary School
students, I have nothing to do except watch TV...boring!
Does anyone on the list know of anything going on in the evenings in that
area, i.e concerts, chamber music etc, or be interested in just getting
together to read through some music? I think I fall into advanced amateur??
category (not my age!), play clarinet in the local community orchestra, and
Wellington Winds (professional & semi professional wind ensemble) and in the
last couple of years have tried my hand at chamber music. In June another
clarinetist friend & I did the Mendohlsehn(sorry for my spelling)
Concertpiece #2 ( I would be interested in reading the clarinet 1 part if
anyone wants or through Concertpiece #1 which I also have). I have lots of
music and am willing to do duets, trios, whatever.
