I would recommend John M Cipolla
Ny,.Ny. 10040
He is a good guy, Pro Player, teaches your age. Really cares about teaching.
( 212) 923-6256 is his # ( I think that is his area code.)

Subject: Good instructor in NYC?

Hi all!
I'm a high school student, 15. I used to be in JHS, well duh, and I had two
incredible clarinet instructors. One at school, Ms. Francis Vogel, and out
side of school
Mr. William Bill Minnich. I can't have them again as my teacher because, Ms.
Vogel's a school teacher and Mr. Minnich's retired.I haven't studied with a
clarinet instructor for nearly 2 years. I have noticed that I'm acutally
going down the hill. I'm dying for a good clarinet instructor in New York
City. I can't find a good clarinet instructor. I've seen a few, one of them
actually told me that the clarinet can't go any higher than G4. How
experienced can he be? And actually used the Easy Steps book to argue with
me. I had to play my A4, A#4, and B4, to convince him. That's as high as I
can go, sometimes if lucky C4. Another one didn't even know Mozart's clarinet
Concerto was suppose to be played with an A clarinet!
I really do need a teacher in NYC, any recommendations?
I prefer a classical clarinetist.
Musically yours,
Patrick Kwan
