hi, i think the gentleman that first replied your email meant, try
playing a B natural and instead of using the register key, use the side
Bb. i could be totally wrong though. and if he actually meant to say
that, i don't know how it would sound; never tried it. perhaps i should,
just for fun. anyway, i have a similar problem with my horn. i had it
worked on a couple of weeks ago and it was playing fine. then one night,
the silencer in between the left hand C# rod and the lever fell out. i put
it back on, but it's not the same. response is quite bad. so, i'm thinking
of having the rods redone with teflon. my point being, maybe your problem
could be with the silencer/rods, since your left B is less responsive
than the r.h. good luck.
