I doubt it's the bridge key. Do a compression test to see if you have leaks
in the pads, or if it is the crows foot alignment (RH. C) you would have to
use both hand keys to play the 3rd line B. Also check the upper joint- if
there is a leak in the upper joint pads, it would show on high compression
notes such as the full tube B, C etc.

Bill,

I would think that (if I'm reading this right) if your pads ar 25
years old then you really need to have it repadded, new corks, regulated
etc. by a technician. Even leather pads don't last 25 years.
