I just read a message a middle C# so I've decided to post my technical
question. On my B&H 1010 (about 25 years old, leather pads) I have *a*lot*
of trouble initiating full-tube notes. Often, I just can't, and have to start
blowing on a different note (say open G) then finger the full-tube note.
Does anyone have an idea what is wrong. I sort of "patched" the bridge key (
missing a part of the cork) to match the height/shape of the original cork.
Is it the bridge key? Thanks, Bill F.
