According to the list of Buffet serial numbers at http://SNEEZY.
MIKA.COM/clarinet/
your instrument was made in 1967. It is my understanding that R-
13s have no other indication of model, so if you can't find
anything else (it is usually just below the Buffet label on the
upper joint) it is probably an R-13.

(The business about no markings isn't completely true anymore. My
new R-13 has markings-serial number style-on both the barrel and
bell that shows they are R-13 parts.)

Hi,

I have a Buffet clarinet, which I had bought as a used one 8 years ago.
I would like to know the exact model.
On the clarinet I have only : Buffet Crampon C(?) Paris.
The serial number is 96800.

Could anyone help me? Is it R-13 ? what year ?
