Greg and everyone else,

Yes, as usual I am several days behind in the conversation. However,
Morre reeds haven't been commercially available since about 1988!! Mr.
Morre died, his equipment was destroyed (by him, as the story goes, so
that no one could copy his reeds after his death), and thus the demise of
the Morre reed. Incidentally, the VanDoren V-12 was "designed" as a Morre
substitute (I'm not saying it's a sstisfactory substitute, however). I
believe there would be more info in the archives about this, and perhaps
there are others on the list who remember better than I what happened
(like Brad "Cat Fancy" Behn). ((I love my cat more than anything else on
this earth too, Brad! She's smarter than most people I know!))
