An occasional faux pas by a member doesn't affect my thick skin all that
much; not nearly enough to think of leaving this list. Being on the
Fortran
and C newsgroups one sees much of this, especially among newbies. This
list is especially high in S/N ratio, with occasional levity and
sometimes even surprises (like today's Dan Leeson comment ;^)

I get much worse than this via the Web site I maintain; sheesh, you'd
think if people didn't like it they'd just leave - I didn't force them
there, and I don't charge anything. Most leave nice comments or
constructive criticism - and it more than makes up for the negativity.
Just like the list.
