Greg,

I had a great cat who used to be very responsive to the clarinet. He used
to bite me when I played. He used to bite me when my significant other
played. He used to bite me really hard when my students played. When one
advanced student played the sustained high notes of the Debussy Premiere
Rhapsodie, he drew blood.

Regardless, I also believe cats are superior to dogs.
