Megan,

I have the same problem you do with reeds. Unfortunately, Van Dorens don't come
in a 4-and-a-half (sorry, my computer doesn't have that cool little one-half
sign on it). While you might be tempted to go to V-12 reeds, I think they are
only intended for longer-lay mouthpieces.

I would not switch mouthpieces, either. My Genusa plays beautifully, and would
not trade it in for the world. The best reeds I have found for that mouthpiece
are Morees. The only place that sells them anymore is Mark's Muisc in
Hermitage, Pennsylvania. The only time I bought them I got them too soft. I
will wran you, though, that they are very expensive ($29.95 plus S&H for a box
of 12). If you want to, give them a shot, and let me know if you find anything
else that works.

Best of luck.
