>From some of the infectious disease specialists I've worked with,
you should (1) take lots (2000 mg) of vitamin C when you first feel
something coming on. Yes, you will mainly eliminate it, but what
you can absorb will help immensely. (2) Take Zinc tablets. Cuts
colds in half. From the herbal community (yeah, I have friends in
Berkeley), taking echinacea & goldenseal tea helps bolster immunity.
It can't hurt, since rhinoviruses are contracted from a weakening
B cell immunity, which can be caused by stress, among other things.
Ergo, low stress, low colds. High stress, start on the C's, and
sleep alot.

And, if you do get a cold, cut down on practicing so you don't
get a nasty sinus infection, and wash that mpc & clean that reed.
Reinfection *is* a possibility.

Geez, I'm turning into my mother.
