IP> Klarinetters,
IP> I recently responded to someone's post about a certain large
IP> mail-order co. with a private e-mail containing some words of caution
IP> about said co., based on past personal experience, and private comments
IP> made to me by others. I just had the somewhat unpleasant surprise of
IP> getting an e-mail from the owner of the co., who monitors this list,
IP> about my comments to the other list member. Seems the guy immediately
IP> forwarded my private e-mail on to the company! My understanding of
IP> forwarding someone else's personal communications is that you ask their
IP> permission first; in these litigous times, it seems only prudent to
IP> reward someone's confidences with discretion. Comments?
IP> Cheers,

I agree entirely with you; however, your belief is in the minority. In
this day and age, I would advise you say NOTHING negative or bad that
you wouldn't want a whole bunch of other people to know. However, whoever
forwarded your 'private email' to the pres of that co. was low down and
dirty.
