It is true that Alain used to work for Leblanc and now no longer does. I am
almost sure that he now plays a Buffet. It is also true that he has an
extraodinary flexibility in the sound he produces independently of the
mouthpiece, reed, etc. which he considers as details The clarinettist in
charge at Leblanc is now Richard Vieille (he played a concerto at the
Clarfest in Paris last summer).
