Forrest's specializes in double reeds; while they are a good store in this
is not where I'd look first for a clarinet. My first choices would be:
Best Music (in Oakland) has good prices and usually reasonable stock;
Woodwind and Brass Workshop (San Francisco - are they still open?) carries
Buffet and Rossi, at least as of a couple of years ago; and of course, if
you are looking for Buffet you can (and should, IMO) get them directly from
Clark Fobes (San Francisco). There's not much to choose from in the South
Bay but if stuck you could try West Valley Music (Mountain View).
