I would think that this operation would be completely contraindicated in a
wind instrument player. Frequently it results in liquid food regurgitating
into the nose with swallowing-- who knows what effects it would have on the
tight seal that is required to develop a pressure to blow into the
instrument, never mind the effects on the chamber of the mouth and pharynx!?
