Best mike for a clarinet in my opinion is a ribbon. Beyer makes a good
one. Theye are a bit fragile (don't want to blow into them) but a ribbon
is about the only thing that will handle the transient response of the
instrument. In any event, audition them carefully. Some of the electrits
will distort on high clarinet notes.
