Christopher Zello wrote recently: "Is the ICA Clarinet Library On-line yet?"

The Research Center of the International Clarinet Association which includes the
largest library of clarinet materials is still working on getting the materials
on-line for use by ICA members.

Vincent Novara at the Hornbake Library of the University of Maryland could
answer
you more directly as to when this will be possible. I think it will be quite
some
time into the future. The reason is that the University of Maryland houses many
archives of important musical materials for several music organizations.

Vincent can be contacted via e-mail at: <Vincent_NOVARA@-----.edu>

For those of you who would enjoy access to this valuable collection, membership
in the International Clarinet Association is a prerequisite. To download a
membership form, go to the web site of David Niethamer, ICA internet liaison.
His
URL is: <http://members.aol.com/dbnclar1/icamem.html>

ICA is continuing to work on its own home page. As soon as it is up and running
I
will forward the URL and welcome you all to visit our site. In the meantime,
contact David's web site for a great deal of information about ICA happenings
such as: the '97 ICA ClarinetFest at Texas Tech in Lubbock, the '97 Young Artist
Competition and the '97 High School Competition.

Best wishes!
