Ed,

FYI, several years ago I asked my local music store have Selmer ship a case
on approval. My Low Eb Selmer Paris Bass Clarinet (#N4615, circa 1950) did
NOT fit into the new current Selmer case. I don't know when the joint
lengths changed, and yours might just fit.

Wihen the original Selmer case finally wore out last year, I bought a DEG
generic 5-piece bass clarinet case with adjustable tenon supports. Once the
supports were adjusted exactly to my horn, I simply drilled small small holes
in the side of the case and secured the supports with Phillips head screws
and those collar-style washers which are standard construction (at least on
my Leblanc contrabass case). I've been very happy with the case and it's a
lot cheaper than the stock Selmer.

Good Luck!

p.s. Great horns, aren't they? I finally had a peg soldered on mine last
week!
