I take a 1-2 inch square (rectangle, whatever) and fold over about 1/4
inch from the edge. I then fold (without creasing!) the resulting
sandpaper into a tight "U" shape, which lets me get more selective about
where I'm sanding. For me this is necessary because 1.) I'm a klutz, and
2.) I'm a klutz with wide fingers! I can usually get the exact spots I
want, but even after all these years of "fixing" reeds, there is often a
question of whether they were the right spots!
